At Grupo Lantero the well-being and safety of our people is a fundamental to our activity. We firmly believe that all accidents are avoidable and that nothing should be done without safety. To make this conviction a reality and for all of us to perceive its benefits, it is necessary to share it.
Our Health and Safety Policy reflects this commitment and shows the way forward. Safety and health are part of our work: they are for us and depend on us.
The set of actions we are developing to evolve towards a safety culture that is integrated with our operations is called ONE SAFETY, this homogeneous and flexible management standard is shared by everyone and is applicable to all our sites, even outside the work environment.
Health and Safety principles
AVOIDABILITY
- We believe that all accidents are preventable. They are not due to bad luck; they occur when a series of causes coincide, one of which triggers it.
- Identifying these causes in advance and communicating, controlling or eliminating them is the right way to act. By doing so, all accidents are avoidable.
PARTICIPATION
- Anyone can suffer, cause and avoid an accident. It is an individual responsibility, but we all share it.
- For this reason, we believe that health and safety must be addressed collectively, recognizing and reinforcing positive actions and encouraging self-criticism to identify those that can be improved.
LEARNING
- Our beliefs are firm, and we are aware that we do not know everything.
- There is nothing negative in recognizing this; because he who thinks he knows everything - or who acts as if he does - sooner or later stops progressing, becomes evident and fails.
- Safety and health requires education and training, observing and listening, checking and reflecting, even unlearning in order to relearn.
WELFARE
- We believe that the reason for work is progress and that the reason for progress is welfare.
- We believe in safe and healthy work environments, putting people first and thinking about today and tomorrow.
